ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Kim, a wife and mother to two teenagers, living happily by the beach in northeast Florida. I love spending time with my family, traveling, running on the beaches and trails, eating delicious foods, reading, working out with friends, being a soccer mom, playing with my two golden retrievers, and attending yoga classes. I especially love spending time in the forests of North Carolina and visit there often.

After working for years as a lifestyle photographer, lightly posing and styling my clients, I ultimately learned that the best way to capture real interactions, emotions, and personalities is to let go of all artificial elements.

I believe documentary photography is the most beautiful and meaningful work that I can do. It gives me time to observe and notice everything from expressions, mannerisms, behaviors, and relationships to how light is falling and how different perspectives alter my compositions.

The benefits from a client perspective are also overwhelming. Families can simply relax and be themselves in the place they are most comfortable. The authenticity of the resulting images are such a treasure to be valued for generations.

Many clients tell me that they can see how much I enjoy my work. Because I am working in a field that I love, I’m naturally motivated to keep pushing myself to learn more and create better images. I’m currently pursuing continuing education and mentorships in documentary photography and the art of editing.

It’s such an honor to collaborate with families, knowing that someday these photos will play a role in helping everyone remember a time gone by.
